What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Information Collection

Information collected on this site is used for statistical analysis and or order processing. In addition we may use that information for mailings to our customers relevant to products they own or new product offerings. Those not wishing to be included in those mailings may be removed from the list by contacting us using any of the methods shown below and stating the name and address with the word “REMOVE” in the subject of the request. Removal instructions are also included in this type of email. We are the sole owners of that information and will not sell, or rent this information to others. We collect information from our users in the following instances:

Statistics

An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you are connected to the Internet. We use this information to compile statistics, analyze trends, gather demographic information and other data necessary to effectively administer the site. We also collect information about the users computer type, operating system and web browser. This and other statistical information, we may collect, in no way enables us to personally identify the user.

Order Processing

We request information on our order form. Contact information such as name, phone numbers, shipping and e-mail addresses are used to fill the orders and contact the user in case of difficulties in processing the order. Sensitive information such as credit card number and expiration date is used for billing purposes and is submitted using a secure server (see SSL section below.)

SSL Security

When sensitive information is submitted using our order form it is protected using Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL) the industry standard encryption technique. When you are asked to submit a page containing your credit card information you will notice a “https://” at the beginning of the URL or web address. In addition note that the “lock” icon on the bottom of your browser will be in the “locked” position. This is known as a “secure page.”

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
